Thousand Foot Krutch – The End Is Where We Begin – CD Review

Thousand Foot Krutch – The End Is Where We Begin – CD Review

(Tooth & Nail Records / Independent)

Release Date:  April 17, 2012

Most masterpieces take time, especially in the world of music.  Thousand Foot Krutch knows this mantra all too well.  This Canadian trio formed back in 1998 and, with their latest release, The End Is Where We Begin, they have finally hit the big time.  This album hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Chart and has catapulted the Ontario rockers onto the stereos and into the earbuds of many hard rock fans around the world.  Trevor McNevan (vocals, guitar), Joel Bruyere (bass), and Steve Augustine (drums) smash onto the rock scene with this, their sixth studio release.  Thousand Foot Krutch received help from producer Aaron Sprinkle (Deftones, Anberlin, Pedro the Lion, The Almost) and mixing engineer J.R. McNeely (Paramore, Underoath, MXPX, Relient K) for this album.  Main recordings took place in Aaron’s studio in Seattle and McNevan’s studio in Nashville, while Steve and Joel tracked bass and drums in their respective home studios in Canada.
